GYSO Performances Are Standing Room Only!
Enjoy the amazing talent and dedication of students in our Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra as they develop their individual and collective musical talent throughout the year! Under the direction of Timothy Verville, Dr. Eric Hawk, David Metrio, Whitney Tinley, Sam Skelton, Bryan Black, and John Lawless, the GYSO concert series demonstrates the growing talents of the orchestra, which plays to standing room only crowds – so get your tickets early!
All GYSO concerts take place at at KSU's Bailey Performance Center. GYSO students get free access to all GYSO and GSO concerts. Parents are required to purchase tickets. Purchase season tickets and receive a 45% discount.

The first concert of the season sets the stage and establishes the bar for the second and third concerts for the year. Combined, the matinee and evening performances feature almost 400 musically gifted students as they begin their personal and collective journeys in the development of their musical skills and talent.

Featuring elementary, middle, and high school aged musicians that make up 4 orchestras, a jazz ensemble and a percussion ensemble, and our youth chorus, these concerts feature students from around the state as they pursue excellence on an individual and collective artistic level and continue developing their love and appreciation for their art.
Philharmonia Community Concert

GYSO's Philharmonia is performing as part a community concert on March 11th at 3 PM at the Zion Baptist Church. The concert will also feature performances from other members of our musical community. We're excited for this opportunity for Philharmonia to represent GYSO and perform in the heart of Marietta Square!
Black Violin w/ GYSO Symphony

The student musicians of GYSO’s Symphony ensemble will be performing on stage with the duo during their show at Woodruff Arts Center’s Atlanta Symphony Hall on April 22, 2018. Black Violin will be stopping in Atlanta this spring as a part of their national headline CLASSICAL BOOM tour.
Black Violin is composed of classically trained violist and violinist Wil B. and Kev Marcus, who combine their classical training and hip-hop influences to create a distinctive multi-genre sound that is often described as “classical boom.” For more information, visit http://blackviolin.net/
