2024-2025 GYSO Season Auditions

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Rolling Auditions!

Below you will find information regarding the audition process, required excerpts, and more. If at any point you have any questions, please let us know.

Rolling auditions are processed as they are receivedand results are sent to the applicant within 2 weeks. Any available positions are filled on a qualified first-come-first-seated basis. This means you should not wait to register and submit your audition until the deadline, as the chair may become unavailable by that time.

The following ensembles have limited openings in the following designated sections:

Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba

Philharmonic
Viola, Cello, Bass, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Harp

Symphony
Viola, Cello, Bass, Bassoon, Tuba


If you do not see availability in a specific ensemble, you may still audition to be waitlisted for that ensemble.

Note: participation in a school music program is required, provided that one exists.

STEP 2 – REGISTER FOR GYSO (& SUBMIT SCHOLARSHIP REQUESTS)

Registration Fee is $35.

The Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestras program also provides need-based scholarships on a limited basis. To learn more about our need-based scholarships and to complete your application please go to our Scholarships page.

STEP 3 – AUDITION

Submit a digital audition using the instructions below.
